Fig Jam Cinnamon Roll

Sweet and sticky cinnamon rolls using Roland Foods Fig Jam! Recipe from creator Renee Li.


For the Dough

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 1/4 teaspoon quick rise yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg plus 1 egg yolk, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup milk


  1. Pour the warm milk in the bowl of a stand mixer and sprinkle the yeast overtop
  2. Add the eggs, butter, salt and sugar. Mix until combined
  3. Add flour and egg mixture in a stand mixer. Mix at medium speed for 10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and slightly sticky
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, let is rest for 2 hours until the dough rises to its double size
  5. After dough has doubled in size, transfer dough to a working surface and roll out into a 14x9 inch rectangle. Spread fig jam over the dough, and sprinkle with cinnamon
  6. Starting on the long end, roll the dough up tightly jelly roll style. Cut into 12 slices and place in a baking pan
  7. Cover the pan and allow the rolls to rise for 20 minutes or until nearly double
  8. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Bake for 20-22 minutes, until the rolls are lightly golden brown
  9. While the rolls are cooling, prepare the sauce: Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add in other ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and let cool
  10. Pour the sauce over the roll, and enjoy!
