Avocado Toast with Black Vinegar Glaze

For the Avocado Toast
- 1 avocado, peeled and thinly sliced
- Sourdough bread or bread of choice, sliced
- Roland® Five Peppercorn Blend, crushed in spice blender or mortar and pestle (available on Amazon)
- Pomegranate seeds, to garnish
- Crushed pistachios, to garnish
- Mint leaves, to garnish
- Flaky salt, to garnish
- Roland® Lemon Extra Virgin Olive Oil, to garnish
- Roland® Za’atar Spice Blend, to garnish (available on Amazon)
For the Black Vinegar Balsamic Glaze
- 1/2 cup Roland® Black Vinegar (available on Amazon)
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
Directions
- Combine vinegar and sugar in a saucepan. Cook over medium to medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes until reduced and thick. Let cool
- Toast the bread in a toaster or hot cast iron pan. Cut the avocado in half and make a slit in the skin on both sides to remove it. Thinly slice the avocado and top with a squeeze of lemon to retain the green color
- Top the bread with the sliced avocado, salt, 5 peppercorn blend, za’atar blend, and lemon olive oil. Finish with pomegranate seeds, black vinegar glaze, crushed pistachios, and mint
