Preparation and Cooking Suggestions
1) Rinse 1 cup of brown basmati rice until water runs clear. 2) Bring 2 cups of water to a boil with 2 teaspoons of butter (or margarine or oil) and ¼ teaspoon of salt. 3) Add 1 cup of rinsed brown basmati rice and stir. 4) Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for 15-20 minutes. 5) Remove from heat and fluff with a fork. 6) Keep covered until served. Yields 3-4 servings.
