Twisted Black Garlic Sesame Knots with Herb Chermoula Dip

An elevated, umami-boosted rendition of garlic knots!
For the Knots
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed but chilled
- 4 tablespoons Roland® Black Garlic Paste
- 2 tablespoons honey (optional)
- 3 tablespoons Roland® Roasted Black Sesame Seeds
- 1 large egg, beaten
- Roland® Sea Salt, to sprinkle
For the Herb Chermoula Dip
- 1/4 cup Roland® Chimichurri Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Roland® Pickled Onions, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons Roland® Grapeseed Oil
- Roland® Sea Salt & fresh ground pepper, to taste
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Line two sheet pans with parchment paper
- Unfold each puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Spread evenly with Roland® Black Garlic Paste, then drizzle lightly with honey. Sprinkle generously with Roland® Black Sesame Seeds
- Slice into long, narrow strips about 1 inch wide. Twist each strip and coil into a pinwheel-shaped knot
- Place on the prepared baking sheet and brush lightly with egg wash. Sprinkle with sea salt
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed, golden, and crisp. Cool slightly before serving
- In a small bowl combine the chimichurri, pickled onions, cilantro, parsley, and grapeseed oil
- Season with Roland® Sea Salt and black pepper
